Born on Novebmer 25, 2002 @ 5:32 AM. Eion captured the hearts and minds of us all being the first grandchild of both the Kuiper and Jackson families.
Weighing in at 8lb 14 oz, he was a bundle of joy bringing happiness with his captivating smile.
All the nurses were doting over Eion and said he was like a real life baby doll!
the baseball years
By 18 months old, Eion was completely in love with the game of baseball. So much so that his grandma had to buy 2 VHS videos “Stinky Shoe & Coach Laroo – the Fundamentals of Baseball” and the Greatest Hits & Bloopers of Baseball” so that he could watch and learn at all times!
That became the start of a long career spanning Little League, Travel Ball (The Outlaws 1 year, the Diamonds for 5 years and Eagles Baseball 1 year) and for Hudsonville High School’s freshman, JV and Varsity teams (although his junior year was cancelled due to covid and they never took to the field…and much to many’s surprise, Eion chose to not pursue baseball for his senior year to stay focused on his business).
Whether swinging for the fences or striking out opponents, you could see his love of the game shine through.
a creator emerges
At the same time he was rounding the bases, Eion discovered an interest in the creative arts of photography and videography. It began with time lapse videos of him drawing various pictures, especially shoes.
Eventually, he transitioned to creating movies with a star-studded cast of his siblings and cousins. Here are some examples to enjoy. If you want to watch more…click through his YouTube channel which still showcases many of these videos.
Access to a drone opened his eyes to new views of natural landscapes and city skylines. Eion also used his creative eye to capture the family’s fun travel experiences. Enjoy a sampling of the videos here.

finding a calling in fashion
After winning a middle school design competition in 7th grade, Eion discovered a passion for fashion.
This led to designing shirts for special events for a Herman Miller sales team (thanks RJ Stelter for the cool opportunity), the team jersey for his Eagles Travel Baseball team and eventually the launch of his own street wear apparel brand, JCKS Apparel.
He has since transitioned to be known as Eion Jackson (www.eionjackson.com).If you didn’t know already, his clothing is literally sold around the globe spanning Europe, Brazil, Mexico, Canada and nearly every state across the USA.
He has also received shoutouts on TikTok and Instagram as “a designer to watch”.
In 2020, Eion gained media attention in the local business journal, newspaper and television.
The most recent media coverage launched in May 2021 with a follow-up piece in the Grand Rapids Business Journal. They wrote an incredible follow up story on his growth through Covid and senior year of high school!
